چکیده
Composite steel girders with concrete have been used for many years and advances in structural fabrication technology established their optimization. One of the changes I-beams during past few has availability web corrugation. The economic design normally requires thin webs. Moreover, using externally prestressed tendons as a strengthening technique controls deflections stresses. However, this causes shear buckling beams. In study, flexural behavior composite steel-concrete single double corrugated was experimentally numerically investigated. Three simply supported (SCW) (DCW) were tested under four-point loading. beams by straight along full length. experimental results showed that SCW more efficient resistance than DCW same equivalent thickness. ABAQUAS package to simulate nonlinear developed model validated against carry out parametric study order investigate effect various parameters on DCW. Using stiffeners at loading points deviators maintain tendon positions increased beam capacity improved performance.

Finite Element Modelling of Steel-concrete Composite Beams Strengthened with Prestressed Cfrp Plate
This paper presents results from Finite Element Modelling (FEM) of steel-concrete composite beams strengthened with prestressed Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) plate. For the purpose of this study, three beams were strengthened using prestressed CFRP plate with three different levels of induced prestressing force. The models were developed using ANSYS FE package. The results of an experi...
متن کاملNonlinear Time-Dependent Behavior of Composite Steel-Concrete Beams
This paper presents a mixed finite element model for the nonlinear time-dependant analysis of composite beams with partial shear connection. The key idea is to consider, as a first approach, a viscoelastic/plastic model for the concrete slab in order to simulate the interaction between the time effects of concrete, such as creep and shrinkage, and the concrete cracking. Creep is taken into acco...
متن کاملLong-term Stress of Simply Supported Steel-concrete Composite Beams
The theoretical model to compute the long-term stress of simply supported steel-concrete composite beam was deduced. The model includes the effects of steel bars in concrete slab, concrete shrinkage and creep. The computed results agreed well with the test results. On this basis, the effects of factors such as concrete age to loading, longitudinal reinforcement ratio in concrete slab, concrete ...

متن کاملSteel Beams with Web Openings
The responsibility of a Structural Engineer lies in not merely designing the structure based on safety and serviceability considerations but he also has to consider the functional requirements based on the use to which the structure is intended. While designing a power plant structure or a multi-storeyed building, the traditional structural steel framing consists of beams and girders with solid...
